When you use FrozenMart, we may collect the following:

• Personal identifiers: name, phone number, email address
• Delivery address and location data
• Order history and payment records (card details are handled by Paystack, not stored by us)
• Device information: operating system, device ID, app version
• Communication records: support chats, complaint submissions

We use your data to:

• Process and deliver your orders
• Send order updates and notifications
• Provide customer support
• Detect and prevent fraud
• Improve our platform and services
• Send promotional messages (only with your consent; you can opt out at any time)
• Comply with applicable Nigerian laws and regulations

We process your data on the following legal bases under the NDPA 2023:

• Contract performance: To fulfil your orders and deliver our Services
• Consent: For marketing communications and optional features
• Legal obligation: Where required by Nigerian law

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

• Vendors: to fulfil your order (name, delivery address, phone number only)
• Riders: to complete delivery (name, delivery address, phone number only)
• Paystack: for payment processing

All third-party partners are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the purpose disclosed.

We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience, remember your preferences, and analyse platform usage. You can manage cookie settings in your browser at any time. Disabling cookies may affect some platform functionality.

We request location access to show you nearby vendors and calculate delivery routes. Location data is only active during an order session and is not stored after delivery is complete. You may deny location access, but this will limit your ability to use the delivery features of the platform.

We retain your personal data for 7 years from your last active use of the platform, in line with our Records Retention Policy and applicable Nigerian law. After this period, your data is securely deleted or anonymised.

We use industry-standard security measures including SSL encryption, access controls, and data isolation to protect your information. We will never ask for your password or payment details via unsolicited communication.

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Withdraw consent for marketing at any time
• Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission

We review this policy annually and whenever there are significant changes to our practices or applicable law. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
